Report: Chris Paul expected to return tomorrow vs. Wizards or Sunday vs. Lakers
When it comes to the services of star point guard Chris Paul, the Houston Rockets’ success so far this season has a lot to do with his presence on the court as such a great player. He is surely missed, as Houston has dropped three games in a row after they had their 14-game winning streak snapped by the Los Angeles Lakers last week.
Luckily, good news surfaced today when ESPN Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman tweeted that Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni expects Paul to be back either Friday for their road game against the Washington Wizards or on Sunday for a rematch with the Lakers at Toyota Center.
D’Antoni said he expects Chris Paul to return either tomorrow in Washington or Sunday at home against the Lakers.

Paul, who suffered a left adductor strain last week during the fourth quarter of the game against the Lakers, has missed the team’s last three games heading into Thursday night due to the injury.
The Rockets look to stop their three-game losing streak tonight, as a huge road win against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden would do wonders for getting the team’s confidence back.
In 16 starts this season for Paul, the point guard is third in scoring on the team with 17.1 points, 9.0 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game in 31.1 minutes of action per contest. During Paul’s 16 starts, the Rockets have gone 15-1 compared to just 10-6 when he is out of D’Antoni’s starting lineup.
