The Houston Rockets are reportedly trying to trade veteran forward PJ Tucker, along with shooting guard Eric Gordon and center Clint Capela this summer in an attempt to clear cap space and acquire Philadelphia 76ers All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler.
In the age of social media, every player pretty much knows right away if their name is being mentioned in trade talks. Tucker says trade rumors are “part of the business” and that he’ll just have to sit back and wait and see what happens like everyone else.

Tucker will make $8.3 million next season. He signed a four-year, $31.9 million deal with the Rockets in the summer of 2017.
This past season, Tucker averaged 7.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 39.6 percent from the field, 37.7 percent from beyond the arc and 69.5 percent from the free-throw line.
The Rockets lost to the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 2019 playoffs in six games. Since then, multiple reports have surfaced claiming Houston general manager Daryl Morey is trying to shake up the roster and add a third star alongside James Harden and Chris Paul.
Tucker has been around long enough to know the nature of the business side of the NBA. The rugged defender clearly doesn’t want to leave the Rockets, but it’s not up to him at this point.
