Pelicans’ Brandon Ingram out vs. Rockets with right knee soreness

Pelicans, Brandon Ingram, Lakers

New Orleans Pelicans swingman Brandon Ingram won’t play on Monday against the Houston Rockets due to right knee soreness.

Guard Josh Hart will start in Ingram’s place.

In nine games this season, Brandon Ingram is averaging 25.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He’s shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 46.9 percent from beyond the arc and 72.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pelicans only have two wins on the season. It’s going to be tough for them to defeat James Harden, Russell Westbrook and the Rockets sans Ingram.
