Nets’ D’Angelo Russell, Rockets’ James Harden only players with 1,500+ points, 500+ assists, 200+ 3s

Entering Tuesday, Houston Rockets superstar shooting guard James Harden and Brooklyn Nets point guard D’Angelo Russell are the only two players in the NBA this season who have scored at least 1,500 points, dished out 500-plus assists and knocked down 200-plus 3-pointers, according to NBA insider Tommy Beer.

James Harden leads the NBA in scoring and many believe he is the front-runner to win the MVP award. If that happens, Harden would win his second-straight MVP.

D’Angelo Russell, meanwhile, is having his breakout season in the league this season with the Nets. The lefty made his first All-Star team and is one of the best young players in the NBA.

In 70 games for the Rockets, Harden is averaging 36.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 7.5 assists per contest. The seven-time All-Star is shooting 43.9 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from beyond the arc and 87.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Beard has 29 double-doubles and six triple-doubles on the season. Harden has scored over 50 points eight times and put up 61 points on two occasions this season. He is one of the most prolific offensive weapons in NBA history.

For the Nets, Russell is putting up 20.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 7.0 assists. The 23-year-old has scored at least 30 points 14 times this season.

DLo is shooting 43.3 percent overall and 36.2 percent from the 3-point line.
