Mike D’Antoni’s hilarious exchange with heckling fan
The Houston Rockets are already considered one of the NBA’s elite teams so far this year, however, the return of superstar point guard Chris Paul only solidifies that notion. The Rockets did not skip a beat in Paul’s return by scoring a franchise-record 90 points in the first half against the Phoenix Suns.
Although blowout games like these usually do not offer up much entertainment, audiences got their laughs after an interaction between Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni and a random Suns fan, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle:
D’Antoni screaming for possession as fan shouts, “Sit down. You’re up 40!”
D’Antoni: “It’s 25. You can’t count.”

Quick spats like these have become somewhat of a normal occurrence lately in the NBA. Fortunately, this one did not involve any derogatory terms between the two like others often have.
Mike D’Antoni has settled in nicely with the Rockets after a few forgettable stops over the last few years. Although his teams are well-known for being offensive juggernauts, this year’s squad is among the best defensive units in the NBA.
The Rockets have now moved to 12-4 on the season, which is good enough to replace the Golden State Warriors atop the Western Conference. However, that will not prevent D’Antoni from bringing the intensity for his team on every possession, no matter the situation.
