Mike D’Antoni says he enjoyed Rockets’ Game 3 win, P.J. Tucker disagrees

The Houston Rockets currently hold a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Utah Jazz. However, it didn’t come easy for them as they trailed for the most part in Game 3 before turning things around in the fourth quarter. Moreover, it didn’t help that James Harden started 0-of-15 from the field.

It was undoubtedly an anomaly for a Rockets team that finished fourth in the Western Conference standings. Nonetheless, head coach Mike D’Antoni admitted that it was an exciting showdown for him, with Games 1 and 2 ending in a blowout.

“There were a lot of types of games we couldn’t win early,” D’Antoni said following his team’s latest win, via Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. “I was more excited about the way we won than the first two.”

While Mike D’Antoni enjoyed the contest, Rockets forward P.J. Tucker didn’t share the same sentiment and even questioned why his head coach thought that the match was a pleasing sight.

“I don’t know why Mike said that,” Tucker said. “I didn’t enjoy it at all.”

Game 4 between Houston and Utah will take place on Monday evening, with the Rockets looking to close out and sweep the series.

The Rockets are expected to continue their dominant run, though the road will only get tougher for them as they will likely be facing the Golden State Warriors in the second round.
