Houston Rockets star Chris Paul was set to play the biggest game of his career on Saturday night, with a chance to close out the Golden State Warriors and advance to his first NBA Finals, but then it all came crashing down.
In the final minute of Game 5, Chris Paul came up limping and was ruled out the next morning with a hamstring injury, that could very well see him miss Game 7 too if it’s needed.

After Game 5, look on his face showed how just disappointed Paul was and Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said the star point guard is devastated.
Paul has traveled with the team to Golden State and will be reevaluated when the team returns to Houston on Sunday morning.
Even with the injury of Paul, the rest of the team is still very confident they can get the job done, even if other guys have to step up.
“We’re extremely confident, as usual, from top to bottom,” Harden said via ESPN. “This is nothing new to us. Whether it’s myself or Chris or anybody else that has sat out a few games or whatnot, guys have stepped in and contributed very well.”
Hamstring injuries are nothing new for Paul and throughout his career, he has been sidelined by the same injury four times. According to ESPN Stats and Info, the shortest time to return from the injury for Paul was in 2015 during the Western Conference Semifinals when he only missed two games. If he misses two games this time, that might be too much, and the Rockets could see themselves out of the playoffs.
