Mike D’Antoni hopes for a Chris Paul return in two weeks

Chris Paul

After playing in their season opener, Houston Rockets star guard Chris Paul has not been able to suit up for the team anymore, as he is still recovering from a bruised knee.

However, the wait for his return may soon end, as Mike D’Antoni shared recently, via Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, that he is hopeful Paul could be back in two weeks time.

The Rockets traded for the nine-time All-Star during the offseason, and did not mind giving up a number of players just to secure Chris Paul’s services. They believe he can compliment James Harden’s game, forming one of the best backcourt tandems in the league today as well. So far, their fans have only seen them on the court together for only one game, and are certainly looking forward to watching them play alongside each other some more.

The Rockets are currently 6-3 for the season, and have continued to find a way to win games even during Chris Paul’s absence. With his imminent return, it will only boost the team’s chances of improving their record further, which will be bad news for the rest of the competition, making the Rockets an even more difficult team to beat.
