Luc Mbah a Moute tweets out “no secret tunnels in Houston”

Luc Mbah a Moute

We are halfway past March, which means that we are now two months removed from the locker room “siege” that happened last January at Staples Center after a meeting between the Houston Rockets and the L.A. Clippers. In this day and age, two months in internet time is equivalent to the length of a prehistoric epoch, but some people just can’t stop referencing to that incident.

Just take for example Rockets forward Luc Mbah a Moute, who alluded to that infamous dugout confrontation that happened earlier this year in a caption of a video he posted on Twitter. In the video, Luc Mbah a Moute could be seen running in transition and finishing with a hilarious desperate, circus-type shot during Thursday’s game in Houston.

You can have a glimpse of that singular moment of Mbah a Moute’s greatness below.

Luc Mbah a Moute would not have made fun of that had the Rockets in that game, of course. The Rockets held on for a 101-96 win over the Clippers. James Harden led Houston as usual with 24 points, but Mbah a Moute was not too shabby himself, as he scored 10 points, grabbed four rebounds, had an assist, and a block along with a team-best plus-minus of plus-22 in 25 minutes of action off the bench.

Mbah a Moute and the Rockets, who have won 20 of their last 21 games, will look to extend their current win streak to four games against the New Orleans Pelicans on the road this Saturday. Houston is 9-1 in its last 10 games away from home.
