Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Patrick Beverley look back on Chris Paul trade

Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Patrick Beverley, Chris Paul

The Los Angeles Clippers forced a Game 6 matchup in their first-round encounter against the Golden State Warriors, as they defeated the defending champs in Game 5 on Wednesday night.

Following their team’s decisive 129-121 victory, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, and Patrick Beverley all got the chance to share their thoughts on the trade that all brought them to Los Angeles a couple of years ago.

All three guys were part of the trade package that sent Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets in the summer prior to the 2017-18 season. The trio have definitely blossomed since their move to L.A., and have now reached heights that most did not expect them to achieve.

Being the professional that he is, Harrell refused to engage with the seemingly loaded question, and instead, explained how they all do not think about these type of stuff.

Nevertheless, should they be able to pull off one of the greatest upsets in playoffs history by eliminating the Warriors, the Clippers will actually face off against the Rockets in the second round. They might never admit it, but surely, revenge will definitely serve as some added motivation from these former Houston players.

This does come with a huge IF, though, as the Clippers will need to win two more games before they officially book their place in the second round. They have already won two games in the series thus far, so it’s not at all impossible.

Then again, this is the Warriors we are talking about here, so aside from playing perfect games in the next two contests, the Clippers will also need a whole lot of luck in order to topple the defending champions.
