LeBron James interested in having Carmelo Anthony join Lakers

LeBron James, Lakers, Carmelo Anthony, Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers have been rolling since an 0-3 start to their season, sitting firmly among the top half of the Western Conference with a 15-9 record. LeBron James’ squad has won four straight games as they’ve built some great chemistry, but according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, the team could look to appease James and add a good friend of his.

Carmelo Anthony is still a member of the Houston Rockets, but Vardon reports that James has interest in adding his good friend.

LeBron James would like to get Carmelo Anthony to Los Angeles with him on the Lakers, a league source told The Athletic.

He can’t be traded until at least Dec. 15, and sources said there had been no request made by James to Lakers president Magic Johnson or general manager Rob Pelinka to make a deal for his friend. Nor would there be.
