Lakers’ LeBron James reacts to record-setting Game 3 win vs. Rockets

LeBron-James-Lakers

LeBron James had arguably his best performance in the playoffs thus far on Tuesday, as he led the Los Angeles Lakers to a crucial Game 3 victory against the Houston Rockets, 112-102.

James was amazing for LA all evening long, and the four-time MVP shared his thoughts on his incredible outing after the game:

“Some people are built for this moment and some people aren’t,” LeBron said, via Ben Golliver of the Washington Post. “When you’ve been building your mind, body & soul for the postseason, no matter the circumstances and environment, you’re able to rise.”

Clearly, James is built for these exact moments.

LeBron finished this one with a game-high 36 points on 13-of-23 shooting, to go along with seven rebounds, five assists, a steal, and four blocks in 38 minutes of play. The 35-year-old was aggressive from the get-go, and he never took his foot off the gas throughout the contest.

This is exactly the type of LeBron James the Lakers need in order to succeed not only in this series but ultimately, in their quest for the title. James was on attack mode all night long, and a very formidable Rockets defense could do little to stop the 17-year veteran from getting his way.

The Lakers are now 2-1 up in the series and have now won back-to-back games after losing Game 1. LA will get a chance to make it three straight when these two teams return to action on Thursday for Game 4. The Rockets are a tremendous team, however, and you can be sure that they won’t be going away without a fight.
