Lakers’ LeBron James reacts to Chris Paul’s big game to help Thunder force Game 7 vs. Rockets

The Oklahoma City Thunder just defeated the Houston Rockets, 104-100, in a nail-biter to force a Game 7 in this first-round series. This was thanks in large part to an amazing performance by Thunder All-Star point guard Chris Paul. The veteran was so impressive that even Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James could not help but heap praise on his good buddy.

After another noteworthy outing from Chris Paul, LeBron James demanded that everyone recognize the greatness of the future Hall of Famer:

Paul came up clutch in this one, sinking a couple of key triples down the stretch to lead his team to a very impressive Game 6 victory. The 35-year-old finished with a team-high 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting, along with seven boards, three assists, three steals, and zero turnovers in 40 minutes of play. Paul has been excellent throughout this series, and he somehow pulled off another outstanding performance on Monday.

Game 7 is scheduled for Wednesday in what should be an all-out war between these two teams will be leaving everything on the floor. Incidentally, the winner of that do-or-die contest will earn the right to face off against LeBron James and the Lakers in the second round.

LA officially booked a place in the West semifinals after defeating the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 5 of their first-round series on Saturday. The Lakers and LeBron James are now intently tuned in to the Rockets-Thunder series, knowing that whichever team progresses to the next round will present a formidable challenge against them and their championship aspirations this season.
