After a slow start to the season, the Golden State Warriors have regained their form, as they are back to tearing opponents apart on a regular basis. Currently on a five-game win streak, the Warriors are toying with opposing teams mostly by brandishing their seemingly unstoppable offense that ranks first in the league in scoring (115.9 points per game) and in field goal percentage (49.5%).
With terrific ball movement and the spacing their 3-point shooters provide, the Warriors can break down every kind of defense thrown at them. The last thing the rest of the league needs is adding a 4-point line, which Klay Thompson told Harlem Globetrotters member Zeus McClurkin would just make the Warriors harder to beat, per TMZ Sports.
Harlem Globetrotters Zeus McClurkin and Dizzy English hit the hardwood in Oakland to show Klay how to get wet from 4-point distance (30 FEET) … but it looked like the Splash Bro had it covered.
The best part of the vid was definitely when Zeus asked Klay if he thought the NBA should add a 4-point line. Thompson’s answer — “I think it would only really benefit us.”
Thompson and Curry are not called the “Splash Brothers” for nothing. Both have been known to drain shots even when pulling up a few steps behind the 3-point line, and having a 4-point line could just give the Warriors an advantage they don’t need in the first place.
That said, other teams could benefit from having a 4-point line. For one, the Houston Rockets have the top two shooters from 24-feet and beyond in James Harden and Eric Gordon, per NBA.com.
