Kent Bazemore releases statement on James Harden move

James Harden, Kent Bazemore

Houston Rockets MVP frontrunner James Harden did such a number of Atlanta Hawks guard Kent Bazemore that the latter had to release a statement to try and make sense of what went down.

Unfortunately for Bazemore, he was on the wrong end of one nasty crossover courtesy of Harden, which literally sent the Hawks shooting guard spinning. Bazemore took to Twitter soon after to try and explain his side of the story.

That’s a very thorough explanation right there, which simply means that Bazemore truly felt that his reputation was at stake following Harden’s dizzying moves. Rumor has it that Baze was actually still spinning even after the final buzzer.

In all seriousness though, just by the sheer number of victims Harden has accumulated, we never really expected an explanation from Bazemore. Moreover, it wasn’t all that bad, and surely, there have been more embarrassing ankle breakers this season alone.

Nonetheless, Bazemore appeared to have been feeling the ill effects of Harden’s multiple crossovers as the 29-year-old had another forgettable evening for the Hawks in a 121-105 defeat against Houston. The 6-foot-5 guard logged only three points on 1-of-3 shooting, along with five rebounds, three assists, a steal, four turnovers, and three fouls in just 17 minutes of action off the Hawks bench.

Bazemore has been a disappointment for Atlanta throughout the season, and with the team now focused on youth development, his role with the team will likely remain as a reserve for the forseeable future.
