John Wall tosses more shade at James Harden with Rockets on 3-game winning streak

John Wall Rockets James Harden

The Houston Rockets are suddenly seeing a resurgence after the blockbuster trade that sent former star James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. Rockets point guard John Wall eventually threw a bit of shade at the 2018 NBA MVP with his explanation as to why the team is improving on the floor lately.

Harden last saw action with the Rockets back on Jan. 12. when they hosted LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers which ended in a 117-100 defeat. Since the trade, the Rockets have gone through a 4-3 record including their latest victory against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night.

Wall faced his former team and came out with much aggression en route to 24 points and five assists. Victor Oladipo and Eric Gordon both recorded 20 points apiece for Houston as well.

With only 10 active players on their roster, they still managed to deal a 107-88 blowout loss to the Wizards headlined by Bradley Beal’s 33-point output. The Rockets eventually improved to a 7-9 record to nab the 11th spot in the Western Conference.

From the win, it was evident that the ball was moving better between the different Rockets players on the floor, a far cry from their style of play when James Harden was still on the team.

John Wall and the Rockets will need more time to gain consistency on the floor and develop chemistry as they look to integrate their new players into the team’s system. Nonetheless, their ongoing three-game win streak certainly serves as a step in the right direction for the Rockets moving forward.
