Joel Embiid reacts to shocking non-call on Kevin Durant’s out-of-bounds save vs. Rockets

Joel Embiid, Sixers, Warriors, Rockets

During Thursday evening’s contest between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets, the refs completely missed an out-of-bounds call on Kevin Durant that should’ve been an obvious turnover:

Joel Embiid went on Twitter right after to offer his two cents on how bad the no-call actually was:

Stephen Curry hit a go-ahead jumper after the missed call, but it did not matter, as the Houston Rockets ended up winning by a score of 135-134 thanks to James Harden’s game-winning 3-pointer.

Harden went absolutely nuts with 44 points plus 10 rebounds and 15 assists. His game-winning triple was his 10th of the night on 23 attempts as he continues to score at historic levels.

Clint Capela also had a big game, scoring 29 points and grabbing 21 rebounds while shooting 12-of-19 from the field. He completely dominated the glass against Golden State’s lack of center depth. Austin Rivers had 18 points, Gerald Green added 16 points, and Danuel House Jr. also contributed 17 on the evening.

Only four players scored in double digits for the Warriors. Curry led all Warriors with 35 points, grabbing three rebounds and dishing out six assists as well. Klay Thompson and Durant each had 26 points, while Kevon Looney had 12.

The Warriors have endured their share of struggles this season. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been mired in shooting slumps all season, and Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have had some issues finding a rhythm together. Durant really struggled down the stretch of this game as Curry took a backseat, and it cost Golden State the game.
