Jimmy Butler on coming off knee surgery vs. Rockets
He is coming off a knee surgery and he is also dealing with a wrist injury, but he isn’t about to make that an excuse for why he or the team have struggled.
Jimmy Butler (12.0 ppg in this series) is dealing with a sore right wrist he refuses to discuss in addition to coming off of knee surgery. “Nobody really cares if you’re nicked up. If you put on that jersey and go out there and… https://t.co/6IORUIlGZ0 pic.twitter.com/F587hG6J4E

“Nobody really cares if you’re nicked up.” Jimmy Butler told Tim MacMahon of ESPN. “If you put on that jersey and go out there and play, you’ve got to produce. You’ve got to do what they got you here to do. So 40, 50, 95, 100 [percent], I’m out there playing. Nobody cares if I’m nicked up or not.”
At this point of the season, no one is healthy and players just need to fight through it if they want to survive and advance in the playoffs.
For the Timberwolves, they are going to need to have a big night from Jimmy Butler in Game 3, especially on the offensive end of the floor. The Wolves have actually played about as well as they could have on the defensive side against the offense of the Rockets, but it’s been their own offense that has let them down.
In the last game, the Wolves only put up 82 points with Butler only putting up 11 of those in 25 minutes.
Look for the Wolves to really try to get out to a quick start in front of their home fans and if they can do that, they will have a chance in the game.
