Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell makes insane circus shot vs. Rockets

Donovan Mitchell, Jazz, Rockets

In his first playoff experience of NBA career, Utah Jazz rookie guard Donovan Mitchell has continued to showcase his unique ability on the floor. He has garnered a tremendous amount of respect and admiration around the league for his special offensive skill set that has allowed for him to continue making dazzling plays on the floor.

Mitchell added to his ever-growing highlight reel with an acrobatic layup over likely league MVP Houston Rockets point guard James Harden while also getting by Clint Capela at the rim.

Beyond his top-level scoring ability, Mitchell has shown to be a highly athletic player that has made numerous impressive plays at the rim. He has shown that he can score in a variety of ways that includes being a strong finisher at the rim through contact by being able to keep tremendous body control in the process.

Mitchell will need to continue to play at an elite level in the second round series against the top-seeded Rockets to have a chance to pull the upset. The Jazz will need him to remain a high-volume scorer while playmake with point guard Ricky Rubio likely out of the mix for the series due to a hamstring injury. In the meantime, there will likely be more highlight-worthy plays to come from Mitchell in what should be an entertaining second-round playoff matchup.
