James Harden visited Timberwolves locker room postgame to check on Jimmy Butler

Injuries have plagued the league this season taking players down from the very first game with the gruesome leg injury to Gordon Hayward, which was the first domino in what seems like an avalanche of bad injuries.

Wear and tear is one thing, but things such as broken legs, torn ACL’s, and torn Achilles tendons are keeping team therapists busy this season.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Jimmy Butler is the latest player on the injury list as he went down Friday night with an apparent knee injury — initial X-Ray results were negative, though.

Despite fighting for the win at Toyota Center, there were no hard feelings between the two teams and one person, in particular, was very concerned about Butler’s condition — James Harden.

The Houston Rockets star was Butler’s teammate on Team Steph in this past weekend’s All-Star game (although Butler declined to play). The former checked on his ex-squadmate as Butler exited the court.

Harden went on to finish the game shooting a mere 8-of-24, but scored 31 points in total, hitting 12-of-12 free throws, while adding in nine assists and two rebounds as he led the Rockets to a 120-102 win.

After the game, Harden darted straight to the visitor’s locker room to check on Butler again as seen in this picture, knowing his comrade and brother needed his support.

This is a powerful image that speaks a lot about the brotherhood that exists among NBA players — teammates or opponents. Despite being competitors, no one wants to see a peer go down, especially with a horrific injury.
