James Harden says Rockets are prepared to face the Warriors

Reigning NBA MVP James Harden is confident his Houston Rockets are capable of dethroning the Golden State Warriors.

The Rockets will be facing the two-time defending champions in the Western Conference semifinals. It’s a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals, which Houston lost in seven games.

During the Rockets’ shootaround, Harden said the Rockets have what it takes to take down the Warriors, and that they confident of what they can do in the second round.

“We’re a very confident group of guys. We’re more than capable. We’re excited about the opportunity. We know the difficulties and the challenges that are going to come along that way, but we’re prepared for them,” Harden said, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

The Rockets will look to avenge last season’s loss against the Warriors, and based on what they did against the Utah Jazz in the first round, they have enough reason to be optimistic.

Houston will face Golden State with a healthy line-up. Chris Paul, who missed Game 7 of the conference finals last season due to a hamstring injury, is 100 percent good to go.

However, the Warriors aren’t a team to be underestimated. Even though they had a hard time taking out the eighth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers, the Dubs have enough offensive firepower to counter whatever the Rockets and James Harden throw at them. Golden State will be relying once again on Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Game 1 of the Warriors-Rockets second round series is slated on Sunday, April 28, at the Oracle Arena.
