James Harden ‘responds’ to Astros cheating scandal
The Houston Astros are in some extremely hot waters right now, with the whole baseball community (and beyond) entrenched in one of the most controversial cheating scandals in recent history. For his part, Houston Rockets superstar James Harden was asked to comment about the headline-grabbing issue, to which the former MVP did not appear to be too concerned about.
James Harden did not have an opinion on the Astros cheating scandal- “I have my own problems to worry about. We’re not playing so well right now.”

Fair enough, James. The Rockets have indeed gone through a few rough patches this season, and their 3-3 record in January has been no different. Houston has now lost three out of their last four contests, including two consecutive defeats in a back-to-back set on Tuesday and Wednesday, against the Memphis Grizzlies and the Portland Trail Blazers, respectively.
The Rockets are still 26-14, though, and are well within the playoffs picture in the Western Conference, but at this point, it would be safe to say that they’ve had their ups and downs this season. The summer arrival of Russell Westbrook instantly propelled this team into legitimate contender status, but the Rockets have yet to prove that they are indeed fully capable of going all the way this season.
For his part, Harden has been nothing short of amazing. The seven-time All-Star has been producing some mind-boggling numbers, with averages of 37.2 points (on 44.6 percent shooting), 6.2 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.9 blocks, while also connecting on 5.0 3-pointers per game on a 37.3 percent clip. Whew.
It’s good to now that despite his stellar level of play, Harden is still completely focused on his team’s overall performance, as they hope to turn a corner in the second half of the season.
