James Harden reaches 15,000 career points in game versus Nets
Another day, another milestone for Houston Rockets superstar guard James Harden. During Tuesday night’s 123-113 road victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center, Harden surpassed 15,000 career regular season points to add to his already impressive NBA resume.
The Rockets posted a graphic on their official team Twitter account to congratulate Harden on his accomplishment.

The six-time All-Star guard finished with 36 points (11-of-23 shooting from the field and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line), five assists, four rebounds and one block in 34 minutes of action.
After the game, Harden spoke with Rockets beat writer Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle and other members of the media about the team’s important road victory.
“These are important wins,” Harden said. “These are bigger than the big-game wins. You can kind of look past these teams. You tend to look over teams like this. We know how important it is. We know how well they can play, how hot they can get. We didn’t want to take this for granted.”
The Rockets (39-13) are now 3-0 on their four-game road trip and have won five games in a row. They will finish their road trip on Wednesday night when they travel south to take on the Miami Heat at AmericanAirlines Arena. In order to get that sixth straight win, Harden says that the Rockets really need to stay focused on the second night of a back-to-back.
“It’s extremely important. That’s our main focus,” Harden said. “That’s our goal, to keep this same rhythm, this same swag going into the All-Star break. Five games before the break. Every game counts. We’re not going to look past anybody. We’re going to take every game for what it is and try to finish up strong.”
