James Harden has been so good this season for the Houston Rockets. Coming off an impressive MVP campaign, Harden has played even better the past month or so. He’s carried an injury-depleted roster to a positive record and a potential playoff spot in the West.
Yet, Harden isn’t concerned with his individual production or breaking records. His only concern? Wins.

Harden’s last 10 games have just been utterly ridiculous. During that time, he’s averaged 39.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 8.5 assists and the Rockets won 10 out of their last 11 contests.
He’s carried them when they needed him most. Chris Paul has been injured, and they have had hardly any depth at the guard position or at the wing. Austin Rivers is now leading the Rockets in minutes behind Harden. That’s how desperate they are for minutes in the rotation
Harden on the season is averaging 33.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from beyond the arc.
The Rockets on the season are 21-15 and sit fifth in the NBA’s Western Conference. They average 109.8 points per game, which currently ranks 19th in the entire NBA. However, their defense is a bit better than their offense. They allow 108.5 points per game, which ranks 11th overall.
The Rockets will face off next against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena on January 3rd this upcoming Thursday.
