James Harden likes IG post about Houston strippers after Rockets-Nets trade

Rockets, James Harden

The Houston Rockets traded superstar shooting guard James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday and a certain sector of the Greater Houston area’s economy could be taking the biggest hit from the monster NBA transaction.

Harden, 31, is one of the more well-known patrons of the erotic dancing arts in the Association, frequently seen appearing at strip clubs and gentlemen’s establishments, for which Houston is recognized as a top leisure destination.

The new Nets star was caught liking a meme joking about how tough Houston strippers are going to have it without Harden around anymore.

The Nets and Rockets along with the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers made up a four-team behemoth of a trade on Wednesday, shocking the NBA and sports for the deal to get James Harden reunited with Kevin Durant in Brooklyn. The Nets sent the next three available first-round draft picks to Houston along with four draft pick swaps and solid role players in Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen.

The Pacers swapped Victor Oladipo for Caris LeVert, giving the Rockets a starting backcourt of John Wall and the former No. 2 overall draft pick.

Harden’s frustrations with the Houston organization grew this offseason when they saw head coach Mike D’Antoni leave on his own terms and Stephen Silas enter the picture. Further, longtime president Daryl Morey left for the Philadelphia 76ers—another suitor for Harden’s services—and succeeded by Rafael Stone as general manager.

The last few weeks saw Harden show up late to Rockets training camp—he was rumored to be spotted “training” in Las Vegas and Atlanta at strip clubs—along with voicing his frustration in the form of saying the team can’t compete in the Western Conference after losing to the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday.

Look out, New York. There’s a big spender in town.
