James Harden leaves Houston’s game vs. Jazz with injury, does not return

James Harden, Rockets

James Harden and the Houston Rockets were hopeful that they could even their record at 2-2 on the season this evening against the Utah Jazz. Unfortunately, that did not end up happening. Not only did they not win the game, they also lost Harden to an injury late in the game.

According to a report from Jordan Schultz of ESPN, Harden was forced to head to the locker room after spending quite a bit of time talking to team trainers. There has been no word about what the injury is to.

Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle also made note of Harden’s departure from the game.

One can only hope that Harden is just fine and that his leaving the game was more precautionary than anything. Houston had a rough game and would have been wise to send Harden to the locker room rather than risk him getting hurt more finishing up the game.

Utah ended up winning the game by a final score of 100-89. Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Jazz with 38 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. Harden, on the other hand, led the Rockets with 29 points, seven assists, and five rebounds.

Houston has gotten off to a slow start this season, but are still confident that they can get things back on track. That being said, this injury scare has to be worrying fans and team personnel alike.

Expect to hear more news about Harden’s injury in the near future. When that update becomes available, we will make sure to have it for you.
