James Harden is the highest rated shooting guard in NBA Live 19

james harden

James Harden just won the first MVP award of his career and it looks like he is also winning off the court. In fact, the Houston Rockets star already beats out fellow All-Star shooting guards in one aspect: NBA Live 19 player ratings.

Harden is rated 94, which is the highest in his position. Klay Thompson is behind with 91, DeMar DeRozan is 90, while Jimmy Butler and Victor Oladipo are graded 90 and 89, respectively. You can view the ratings below, as posted by Steve Noah in his Twitter account.

Harden was also the top pick among the shooting guards in NBA Live 18. This is somehow expected as he was also chosen as its cover athlete. However, Jimmy Butler was ranked second after Harden with a 91, followed by DeRozan, Thompson, and C.J. McCollum. This year, Butler slid off the rankings and Oladipo replaced McCollum.

For point guards, Stephen Curry leads the pack with 94, Russell Westbrook has 93, Kyrie Irving is also 93, Chris Paul with 92, and John Wall rated with 90.

The ranking for top five small forwards in the league is settled with  LeBron James (97), Kevin Durant (95), Kawhi Leonard (92), Paul George (90) and Gordon Hayward (85). The elite big men at the center position are headed by Anthony Davis’ 94, Joel Embiid’s 92, Karl-Anthony Towns’ 91, DeMarcus Cousins’ 90, and Rudy Gobert’s 89.

On the other hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best power forward followed by Draymond Green, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, and Kristaps Porzingis.

Players have been ranting on their social media account after finding out how low their rating is. They sometimes use it to prove the critics wrong. If Harden wins it all this season with the Rockets or somehow gets his second MVP hardware, expect him to still have the highest rating for shooting guards in NBA Live 20.
