James Harden gets teammates brand new MacBooks and Beats headphones for Christmas

James Harden, Rockets

Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden is the MVP on and off the court.

According to Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic, James Harden got all of his teammates brand new MacBooks and Beats headphones for Christmas.

James Harden and the Rockets are hosting Russell Westbrook, Paul George and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Christmas Day. Harden played the role of Santa Claus for his teammates. The reigning MVP signed a four-year, $169 million contract extension (Designated Veteran Player Extension) with Houston in 2017, so he’s got the money to spend on his teammates.

James Harden is leading the NBA in scoring this season. The six-time All-Star is averaging 32.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game while shooting 44.6 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from beyond the arc and 85.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Rockets enter Christmas with a record of 17-15, eighth place in the Western Conference standings. After having the best record in the NBA last season, it’s been a struggle for Houston this year. Rockets All-Star point guard Chris Paul is going to be out for the foreseeable future with a hamstring injury, so the offensive burden is going to fall on Harden’s shoulders even more than usual.

James Harden has been putting put up video game numbers all season. That’s likely going to continue with CP3 out.
