James Harden drops Spurs’ Brandon Paul after nasty series of dribbles before dropping dime

James Harden

James Harden, the leading candidate for this season’s MVP award, has dazzled audiences with his unique bag of dribbling and shot-making. Harden’s signature move involved him dribbling into his opponents, breaking their ankles, and hitting a step-back jumper. Harden has built a reputation as an offensive marksman that can get buckets from a few proven tricks. Regardless of the defender, Harden typically takes advantage of his prey. Recently, Harden destroyed Clippers forward Wesley Johnson with an amazing step-back jumper that made him fall completely on the ground. If that wasn’t enough for Harden’s list of victims, he just had to destroy another opponent with a flurry of dribbles before dropping an assist.

The Spurs are renowned for defensive prowess, instilled in them by their stern head coach Gregg Popovich. Nonetheless, Harden made this play look easy, and that’s been the story of the regular season. Plays such as these are bolstering Harden’s case for this year’s MVP award. In recent years, however, Harden as been snubbed many times. Last year, Harden has a terrific season, only be to undermined by the brilliance of Russell Westbrook, who would go on to win the award after averaging a triple double. This year, the Rockets are currently the best team in the NBA, and Harden is having the best season of his career. While a championship trophy will be the goal this season, a MVP award will be fitting for Harden.

Hopefully, Harden can spare just a few of his opponents on his way to leading the Rockets to their third franchise title.
