James Harden, Chris Paul to team up for 1st time in Drew League showcase

New Houston Rockets teammates James Harden and Chris Paul are set to make their first debut playing on the same team as part of LA Unified in the Los Angeles’ longtime Pro-Am Drew League, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

To make matters even more interesting, the Rockets backcourt is set to preview its chemistry against Home Town Favorites, led by Long Beach native MVP Russell Westbrook.

Among those in attendance will be Rockets general manager Daryl Morey and other members of the Clutch City brawn.

Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, which were dealt for Paul as part of the package going back to the L.A. Clippers, will suit up next to the studded Rockets backcourt, with former player Dorrell Wright and Toronto Raptors guard Delon Wright expected to play for Home Town Favorites.

The likes of Andre DrummondNick YoungJulius RandleTarik BlackStanley Johnson and Frank Kaminsky are expected to compete in the Drew League, when it tips off this Sunday.

Bleacher seats will be free to the public on a first come, first serve basis.
