Hilarious memes from photo of Rockets’ Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony at Astros game

The Houston Rockets won’t make their 2018-19 NBA season debut until Wednesday when they host the New Orleans Pelicans. So for the meantime, the Rockets duo of Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony decided to kill time by catching live Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Boston Red Sox and the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park Tuesday night.
Here’s a photo of the two enjoying the game.

Of course, it didn’t take long before Twitter hounds gather around the photo to make fun of it.
makes sense. Both of them are right at home at the conference finals but never the actual finals

Oh, man. That’s brutal. Making fun of the Rockets’ shortcomings in the playoffs can be filed under the Too Soon folder. The Rockets did reach the Western Conference Finals last season and even had a 3-2 series lead over the Golden State Warriors, but apparently blew their chance the moment Chris Paul blew out his hamstring.
Here’s another using Carmelo Anthony’s role as a bench player for the Rockets as a source of comedic entertainment.
hope melo gets used to sitting lol

Again, brutal.

Well, the Astros winning the ALCS in five games is no longer a possibility as the Red Sox pummeled Houston in an 8-2 victory to take a 2-1 series lead. Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. virtually shut the proverbial door on the Astros in the top of the eighth inning when he lifted a grand slam home run off of Roberto Osuna, who gave up five earned runs on three hits in just 2/3 innings of relief.
Game 4 of the ALCS will be on Wednesday with the Astros starting Charlie Morton against Boston’s Rick Porcello.
