Giannis Antetokounmpo reacts to James Harden’s savage comments against him

A feud between two former NBA MVPs has been brewing for some time, with Houston Rockets guard James Harden and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo trading punches.

After feeling slighted from losing out to the Greek-born Antetokounmpo for the 2018-19 MVP and later hearing the Bucks star trolling him while making his draft picks for the 2020 All-Star Game, Harden finally responded to the perceived criticisms — specifically Giannis’ disses.

Now, ahead of Milwaukee’s primetime matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, Antetokounmpo sat down with ESPN to explain his side of the feud with Harden. The Bucks top-scorer denied a legitimate conflict with the Rockets star, emphasizing it is a matter of what they believe in.

During the live televised All-Star draft between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James (the team “captains”), the Bucks star passed over the available James Harden for his roster, claiming the former Sixth Man of the Year doesn’t pass the ball.

Harden then spoke to ESPN in an interview released on Friday criticizing Antetokounmpo. He particularly cited how Giannis’ height has helped his NBA career even though he is not that skilled of a player.

The NBA-best Bucks, at 50-8 and firmly in first place in the Eastern Conference, face off with the reloaded Rockets for their second of two matchups this 2019-20 regular season on March 25.
