ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski thinks Rockets’ Clint Capela is ‘probably the most tradeable of the group’

ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski thinks Clint Capela is “probably the most tradeable” of the group of players the Houston Rockets are looking to move.

The Rockets reportedly have made everyone on the roster except James Harden available in trade talks. Wojnarowski says Capela has “been the name that’s been more of a topic here in recent days.”

The Rockets re-signed Capela last summer on a five-year, $90 million deal. He was supposed to be in Houston long term alongside Harden and Paul.

However, after the Rockets lost to the Golden State Warriors again in the playoffs, it appears general manager Daryl Morey is looking to shake things up.

Capela averaged 16.6 points, 12.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists during the regular season while shooting 64.8 percent from the field. His numbers took a dip in the postseason, especially against the Warriors in the second round. Capela put up  8.8 points and 10.0 rebounds versus the Warriors and had a negative plus/minus box score in four out of the six games.

Capela will make $14,896,552 next season. That’s a lot of money for a guy who can’t score in the post without the help of Harden or Chris Paul.

It’s going to be very interesting to see if the Rockets find a trade suitor for Capela, who is only 25.
