Eric Gordon will not play tonight vs. Cavs
The Houston Rockets have made their way to Cleveland for a nationally-televised matchup against the Cavaliers, but it sounds like they’ll be without the services of Eric Gordon, according to a report from Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Gordon, now 29 years of age, has been dealing with a back injury. The former seventh overall pick in the 2008 Draft played just 10 minutes in Tuesday’s 114-107 win over the Orlando Magic and was held out of Thursday’s victory over the San Antonio Spurs entirely. However, he could be well enough to return next week, as Feigen notes.
In his 47 appearances with the Rockets this season, Gordon has turned in averages of 19.1 points on 42.1 percent shooting from the field (33.6 percent from beyond the arc), 2.5 assists, and 2.4 rebounds.
With Gordon ruled out for Saturday night’s against the Cavs, Gerald Green and Luc Mbah a Moute will likely see their playing time increase. Green played well in his 30 minutes of action against the Spurs, scoring 15 points, five rebounds, and one steal.
Saturday night’s game is scheduled to tip inside Quicken Loans Arena at 8:30 p.m. EST with ABC having live broadcast coverage. Let’s see how the Rockets, winners in eight of their last ten outings, fare against King James and the Cavs.
