Enes Kanter reveals Rockets star Russell Westbrook opened up nine book clubs around America

During an appearance on FS1’s First Things First on Wednesday, Boston Celtics big man Enes Kanter revealed Houston Rockets superstar Russell Westbrook has opened up nine book clubs around America.

Kanter and Westbrook were teammates for three seasons on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The new Celtics center says players from the Thunder will tell you they bonded with Westbrook off the court better than they did with former OKC star Kevin Durant.

After a legendary career with the Thunder, Russell Westbrook is now embarking on the next chapter of his basketball journey with the Rockets. OKC traded the former MVP to Houston this summer.

Westbrook has averaged a triple-double three seasons in a row. The Rockets are currently the only team in the NBA with two MVPs on the roster. James Harden and Westbrook — who are essentially brothers off the court — played together on the Thunder back in the day, so they know how to complement each other.

Enes Kanter wants people to know Westbrook is a great person off the court. Just because Westbrook is aggressive on the court, it doesn’t mean he’s that way off it. In fact, numerous players have said Westbrook is a very easy guy to get along with.

With the Rockets, you can expect Westbrook to give back to the Houston community. After all, he did a lot of charity works during his time in Oklahoma City.
