Dwyane Wade thinks James Harden and Bradley Beal are taking the torch as NBA’s top shooting guards

Dwyane Wade is playing his final season in the NBA. During his career, he earned the reputation as one of the best shooting guards in the history of the league. Wade is playing his 13th and final All-Star game on Sunday, in what people see as a formality for him to pass the torch to his successor in the title as the NBA’s top shooting guard, and the 3-time champion mentioned two names that he believes will take his place once he retires. James Harden and Bradley Beal.

Both Harden and Beal will be participating in the All-Star game on Sunday as well.

Harden has been sensational for the Houston Rockets. The reigning MVP holds the record for most consecutive games (30) with at least 30 points. He’s the main reason why the Rockets are one of the top five teams in the Western Conference right now.

Harden is currently averaging 36.6 points, 7.7 assists, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while shooting 44 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, Beal has been stepping up for the Washington Wizards, who have been playing without its other star, John Wall, who has been dealing with an injury all season. Beal is expected to become the franchise’s cornerstone as his backcourt partner is expected to miss at least 12 more months while recovering from a surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon.

Beal is putting up 25.1 points, 5.4 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game this season, and he’s doing his best to help lead the Wizards into the playoffs. The team is currently 11th in the Eastern Conference but are only two games behind the eighth seeded Detroit Pistons.

Both Harden and Beal are expected to raise their game to the next level as the final stretch of the season progresses.

Looks like Dwyane Wade has made excellent choices for his successors.
