Dwyane Wade sends strong message to all the haters of Warriors’ Stephen Curry

Dwyane Wade, Stephen Curry, Warriors

Retired Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade sent a strong message to all the haters of Stephen Curry after the two-time MVP powered the Golden State Warriors into the West Finals.

Curry came up big for the Warriors in Game 6 against the Houston Rockets. With Kevin Durant out due to injury, Curry carried the offensive load for Dubs en route to a 118-113 road victory in Toyota Center.

After the game, Wade took it to Twitter to commend Steph. He then went on to defend Curry for his recent struggles and seemingly down year, emphasizing that the 31-year-old sharpshooter is “still a beast.”

Curry had a rough start in Game 6, and it appeared that he was off to another ugly night after a scoreless performance in the first half. However, he shifted gears in the second and exploded for 33 points to completely destroy Houston’s hopes.

Steph has been the subject of scrutiny in their series with the Rockets, especially after the Warriors lost their 2-0 lead in the matchup. Prior to Friday’s showdown, Curry averaged just 22.0 points on 26.3 percent shooting from deep against Houston.

Nonetheless, as Wade said, Curry proved to everyone what made him one of the most dangerous shooters in the NBA. He drained the crucial baskets in the contest — including a go-ahead 3-pointer with less than 90 seconds left to play — and showed James Harden and Co. what it means to be a champion.

Curry may have been disrespected in recent weeks, but there’s no doubt that his recent display will erase all doubts about him.
