Draymond Green says Golden State best when it feels threatened

The Houston Rockets shocked a lot of people coming out in Game 2 with a statement win over the Golden State Warriors.

Part of the surprise was the defending champs, after a decisive Game 1 win, did not look like defending champs. The Rockets made it really tough for them on offense and then shot lights out on the other end, opening the flood gates for all kinds of offense.

Warriors power forward Draymond Green is diagnosing the mental aspect of the series so far, revealing some intriguing info about why there was such a difference in the first two games for the Dubs.

Via The Score:

“I think we’re at our best when we feel threatened. Game 1 we felt threatened, we came out with a sense of urgency. Game 2 we didn’t feel as threatened, and the sense of urgency wasn’t there,” he told reporters on Saturday.

“I think you’re allowed one of those a series. We’ve had our one and now it’s time to lock in for the rest of the series,” Green said.

The Warriors have definitely woken up now and should feel threatened because the Rockets certainly proved that their best will be tough to match, even for the defending champs.

After a few days off, it will be interesting to see what the game feels like tonight as the series heads to Oakland.
