Drake takes a shot at the Rockets before Raptors game
Multi-platinum rapper and Toronto Raptors Global Ambassador Drake had a bold prediction during his very own “Drake Night,” noting the Houston Rockets’ 17-game win streak would come to an end.
“By the looks of it, this win streak is over,” said Drake before the game.

The Raptors managed to edge out a 108-105 win over the Rockets, indeed snapping the longest streak in the league and gaining a major confidence booster against the best overall record in the league.
Toronto benefitted from some timely defense in the first half, carving up a big lead, which the Rockets weren’t able to mow down in time as James Harden went off for a game-high 40 points.
Kyle Lowry put up a team-high 30 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field and 7-of-9 from beyond the arc, along with DeMar DeRozan’s 23 on 3-of-7 from deep — outscoring the backcourt duo of Harden and Chris Paul and making more trifectas between the two than all the Rockets combined.
The Raptors’ perimeter defense played a large part in the win, limiting Houston to 9-of-27 shooting from three, while they drained 15-of-38 — giving them a clear advantage against the highest-volume 3-point shooting team in the league.
Drake also had a bit to do at the end of the game, trash-talking forward Trevor Ariza during an inbounds play, which turned into a hectic disaster, resulting in Harden chucking a deep 3-pointer in hopes to reach overtime, to no avail.
Maybe it was timely defense that did it for the Raptors, maybe it was Drake night, or maybe it was God’s plan.
