Danuel House lashed out at James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Mike D’Antoni last season

The Houston Rockets have been the talk of the town of late following reports of how the team appears to be completely in shambles at this point. One of the latest stories that has emerged involves Danuel House, who himself was apparently involved in a spat with Houston’s superstars in James Harden and Russell Westbrook, as well as former head coach Mike D’Antoni.

This report comes via Kelly Iko, Sam Amick, and Shams Charania of The Athletic:

House was another player who wasn’t pleased with his usage and involvement in the offense and has verbally challenged D’Antoni, Harden and Westbrook this season, sources said. His January outburst in a road win against the Hawks was the first instance where House publicly lost his cool in that manner but this wasn’t an isolated incident, sources said.

The blows just keep on coming for the Rockets, who appear to be in a really tough spot right now. It was earlier reported that Westbrook had already demanded for a trade following a dispute with the team, and as it turns out, he is far from the only player who’s unhappy in Houston.

For his part, House was a key player for the Rockets lasts season. He started a total of 52 games for the Rockets (he played in 62), averaging 10.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 30.4 minutes per contest. In the second round of the playoffs, however, he was infamously suspended for the rest of the season following his violation of COVID-19 protocols while inside the bubble.

The Rockets felt his absence, as they struggled to go toe-to-toe against eventual champs, the Los Angeles Lakers, in the West semis.
