Damian Lillard reacts to twitter frenzy that LeBron James sided with Chris Paul over Rajon Rondo
During the Los Angeles Lakers-Houston Rockets game Saturday night at Staples Center, Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram got into a serious fight in the fourth quarter. Lakers star LeBron James pulled his best friend, Paul, out of the scrum instead of Rondo, who is his teammate on the Lakers.
After the game, many people on Twitter started to criticize LeBron James for siding with Chris Paul, but Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard wasn’t one of them.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that LeBron James pulled Chris Paul away from the fight. Paul is one of James’ best friends off the court and the godfather to James’ son. Plus, LeBron was closer to Paul than he was to Rajon Rondo, and the refs had already gotten control of Rondo.
However, anything that involves LeBron James is always going to be overanalyzed by people on the internet. But in reality, The King did the right thing by grabbing Chris Paul, and Damian Lillard knows it.
Hypothetically, if Rajon Rondo was closer to James, LeBron would have probably grabbed Rondo. All that matters, though, is that James broke up the fight. It’s not important which player he pulled away first.
