The Portland Trail Blazers have emerged as one of the potential destinations of Houston Rockets want-away star Russell Westbrook, who recently demanded for a trade away from the Rockets. A couple of Blazers players in CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic caught wind of the trade rumors, and the pair took to Twitter to share their reactions to the same.
McCollum actually found himself being sent over by Portland to the Rockets in a hypothetical trade scenario discussed by NBA insider Nick Wright. The former Most Improved Player of the Year winner just laughed it off, though:

Nurkic also came across the trade proposal, and had a similar reaction to that of his teammate:

McCollum seems to be confident in his job security over in Portland, and it doesn’t appear like he’s taking any of these trade talks seriously. To be fair, McCollum’s name has been thrown around quite a bit of trade rumors of late, and as they always say, when there’s smoke, there’s fire. The 29-year-old did sign a big-money extension with the Blazers last year, but this has done little to quell the whispers.
There were a few other trade scenarios presented by Wright, and they seem to make some sense as well. Whatever the case may be, it does not appear like Westbrook is going to be a Rocket for very long, and for his part, McCollum might just find himself going the opposite direction. That is of course, if you take these trade proposals seriously.
