Chris Paul playing tonight vs. Bulls

Chris Paul

Chris Paul will be available to play tonight for the Houston Rockets, as they look to extend their win streak to 10 games against the Chicago Bulls. This is according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Chris Paul missed each of the last three Rockets games because of a hamstring issue, though Houston still managed to go 3-0 during his absence. Nevertheless, Paul’s presence is going to be a big boost for the Rockets, who will not have the services of starters James Harden and Clint Capela. Harden and Capela are not nursing any injuries, but are merely being rested by Houston.

This is an understandable decision by the Rockets. For one, they are assured of a slot in the playoffs. In addition, the Bulls are not expected to put up much of a fight considering their clear intent to tank as much as possible in order to improve their chances of getting a No. 1 pick in this year’s NBA Draft.

Even without Harden and Capela, Paul and the rest of the available Rockets players should be able to stay competitive against the Bulls. In fact, despite missing some key players, Houston is still a double-digit spread favorite against the Bulls. The Rockets are 3-0 in their last three meetings with Chicago, including the two wins they have had so far this season against the Bulls.

With Harden out, Paul will get help in the backcourt instead from the likes of Eric Gordon, Gerald Green, and R.J Hunter.

Paul is averaging 18.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game this season.
