Chris Paul not surprised at seamless return from injury
While many teams expected the Houston Rockets to have an adjustment period to get their floor general Chris Paul back in the fold, the latter isn’t surprised to how quick things have fallen into place.
“I didn’t know what to expect, but I know how to play,” said Paul on Monday. “They didn’t change the height of the goal or nothing like that. As long as they don’t do that, I’m cool.”

Paul is slated to play his first game in front of the home crowd at the Toyota Center, when the Rockets takes on the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night. Paul played in the Rockets’ season-opener against the Golden State Warriors, netting the first win of the season on the road and then returning in limited minutes against the Phoenix Suns and the Memphis Grizzlies, getting off to a perfect 3-0 start with him on the court.
“I’m feeling well, physically,” said Paul. “Excited to be back on the floor, first and foremost. Excited to finally get to play a home game on Wednesday.”
“Today and tomorrow will be good days for us, I hope. Because it’ll be the first time we practiced in a while.”
