Following the Utah Jazz’s 116-108 win in Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinals series with the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night, Chris Paul and James Harden went to the postgame presser together and, as usual, answered a number of questions from the media.
While discussing the game and outlook of the series, Paul conveyed a familiar tune, one that the press had already heard last year, as the Rockets point guard alluded to Jazz fans being “homers.” It should be remembered that Paul also referred to Utah supporters as homers in last year’s playoffs when he was still part of the L.A. Clippers and his term didn’t sit well with the fanbase.

Rockets’ Chris Paul calls Jazz fans “homers” for the second straight postseason as series heads to Utah for Game 3: “It’s going to be loud, rowdy… Like I said last year, they’ve got a lot of homers, people who cheer for their team… It should be jumping.”
Having faced the Jazz in a playoffs series before, Paul certainly knows what he’s talking about. The Clippers were upset by the Jazz in the first round last year in a series that took seven games to finish.
In Game 2, Paul scored 23 points and also had five rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 35 minutes on the floor. Harden, meanwhile, led the team with 32 points and 11 assists.
The Rockets will enter Game 3 with a 6-4 record in their last 10 road games. They have also won both their trips to Salt Lake City in the regular season.
