Carmelo Anthony’s business manager seen together with Rockets contingent
Now that it is apparent that Carmelo Anthony and the Oklahoma City Thunder will part ways at some time this offseason, both Anthony and the Thunder are considering possible suitors for the veteran forward’s services. And after today’s affairs, it seems like the Houston Rockets could be the front-runners to obtain Anthony.
According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Anthony’s business manager Bay Frazier was spotted with a group of Rockets staff, including head coach Mike D’Antoni and Chris Paul.

Depending on who you ask, this is either terrible or excellent news for the Rockets.
Last year, Anthony had a subpar season with the Thunder, putting up career lows in points, assists, and even free-throw percentage. But he is still considered a formidable force, albeit an aging one, that could provide a heavy dose of offense.
There is no question that a starting lineup that includes Paul, Anthony, and reigning MVP James Harden would be an intimidating threesome. But the questions that haunted the Thunder last year would almost certainly follow Anthony to Houston if he ends up there.
Last year, the Rockets came within one game of dethroning the reigning champions. Could an Anthony addition put the team over the edge and allow them to finally defeat the Warriors? Or would he disrupt a free-flowing Rockets offense that already has an excellent isolation player in Harden?
Rockets fans will be on the edges of their seats to find out.
