Milwaukee Bucks swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo and Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden are the Kia NBA Players of the Month for March and April.

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 30.0 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists. Milwaukee finished with the best record in the NBA this season at 60-22.

James Harden, meanwhile, put up 34.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 7.1 assists. The Rockets finished the season at 53-29.

On the season, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 57.8 percent from the field, 25.6 percent beyond the arc and 72.9 percent from the free throw line. The Greek Freak had 54 double-doubles and five triple-doubles.

For the Rockets, Harden led the NBA in scoring again. The Beard averaged 36.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 7.5 assists while shooting 44.2 percent overall, 36.8 percent from the 3-point line, and 87.9 percent from the charity stripe. Harden recorded 34 double-doubles, seven triple-doubles, nine games of 50 or more points, and two games of 60 or more points.

The NBA playoffs start this weekend. Giannis and the Bucks take on the Detroit Pistons, while Harden and the Rockets face the Utah Jazz. Many believe the 2019 MVP award will come down to Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden. The Rockets’ star won the MVP award last season.

Whoever wins the award will deserve it. Both stars had special seasons… but now comes the part of the season which could make their careers extra special.
