All of James Harden’s points in last three Rockets games have been unassisted

James Harden

Houston Rockets superstar James Harden is simply on another level right now. According to ESPN, the 2018 NBA MVP has scored 163 points over his last three outings… and none of them have been assisted.

Cheat codes.

Another one of those mind-boggling stats from one of the most gifted scoring machines of this generation.

Harden nearly notched his third straight 50-point performance in a thrilling 138-134 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Beard followed up his 57 and 58-point games with 48 points on 14-of-30 shooting from the field, and 12-of-15 from the stripe. He also nailed eight three pointers on the night and added eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

To say that Harden is on a tear this season is just an understatement, and it’s hard to believe that he has taken another leap after winning MVP last season.

This is simply one of the most historical statistical seasons we’ve seen in NBA history. It is entering unprecedented territories, and we can’t help but just be in awe of what he’s doing right now.

Harden’s rampant surge started when fellow backcourt-mate Chris Paul fell down with another hamstring injury. With big man Clint Capela also set to miss four to six weeks due to a thumb injury, it seems Harden will have a heavier weight to carry.

Since CP3’s injury, Harden has been averaging 43.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 8.9 assists. He’s attempting 29 shots per game, making nearly 12, while also making six threes per game on a nearly 17 attempts. He’s also converting on 89.1 percent of his freebies on over 14 trips to the line per game.

With all this load on his shoulders at this point of the season, one has to wonder whether this will wear him out eventually and compromise his play in the post-season.
